Most clients that need to connect to the Turing network are dependent on RPC nodes to interact with the network. Should the set of existing registered RPC endpoints be unavailable, many users will not be able to access the Turing chain.
This proposal is about covering the maintenance costs of running an RPC service for the community. The services is hosted in Sweden and will help to further decentralize the network.
- Our RPC node has been publicly available since June this year. This proposal covers the cost for running the service in July, August, and September.
- Our full proposal can be read here.
This is the Dwelir team requesting TUR for hosting a high-availability Turing RPC endpoint. They are requesting to pull from Turing's Node/Collator Fund wallet (instead of treasury) given some complexities with pulling from treasury. We're also keen to give the first community development project a support via governance and test out our new governance dapps.
After learning about the reason for this request i have changed my initial nay to an aye.
I have voted in support of this referendum
Great to see the governance system at work
Looking forward to working with the Dwelir team.
We have updated the title and information in this post to make it more transparent what the referendum is about.
In the proposal you can find the URLs for the endpoints.
Thanks for the approval. We are excited to part of the Turing ecosystem.
no reason not to trust the tech committee however I can not read the full proposal w/o someone granting me access first.
Access to the proposal is now changed so that anyone can read it. Please have a look.
